Self-employed dog walker and pet sitter - Newcastle upon Tyne
If you are good with dogs and live in or near Newcastle upon Tyne, you can run your own walking and sitting work through the WoofWalk app.
This is a self-employed role, not employment. There are no guaranteed hours. You set your own rate, choose your own clients and decide when you work. The work is walking dogs and pet sitting for owners who book you through the app.
How pay works: you set the price for each walk or visit. No fee to join. WoofWalk charges no commission for your first 2 weeks. After that it takes 15% of each booking made through the app, which drops to 10% for life once you bring 5 of your own clients onto the app.
Example: charge £15 for an hour-long walk and you keep £12.75 after the 15% commission, or £13.50 once you reach 10%. Both are above the £12.71 National Minimum Wage. You set your own rate.
Costs: there is nothing to pay upfront and no subscription. As a self-employed walker you are responsible for your own tax and National Insurance contributions (register with HMRC as self-employed) and your own insurance.
Apply by email and tell us a little about yourself and the dogs you have looked after.
What we're looking for
Reliable and punctual. Confident and calm handling dogs of different sizes. Good communication with clients. A smartphone to use the app.
Hours
You set your own schedule, weekdays, evenings or weekends. No guaranteed hours.
